The Biomaterials Analytical Biochemistry Intern will help a world-class team to do cutting-edge research and commercialization of a biomaterial at the intersection of multiple disciplines. This role is based in Bozeman, MT, and has an immediate start date.
Job Summary:
This position will involve sample preparation and chemical/biochemical analyses of fermentations for Biomaterials. The successful candidate will generate statistically representative samples from fermentation media, fungal biomass, and secreted broth components. Under the guidance of key team members, the candidate will perform metabolite quantification by HPLC, IC and colorimetric assay, and report results to key stakeholders, generating robust mass balance understanding. The position will require careful documentation and data archiving. In this position, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of exciting new techniques for quantification of new metabolites.
