This role sits within the Battery test team, who are responsible for the development and validation of all high-voltage (HV) battery programs used in Arrival’s vehicles, alongside being sold externally as stand-alone products.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and carrying out all aspects of HV battery development and testing. The testing spans cell, module and pack level and ranges from electrical characterisation, functional, safety/abuse, durability, environmental, and life cycle.

Responsibilities:
Define cell/module/pack testing methods and implement testing plansAnalyse test results, disseminate findings and making recommendations to the wider battery teamPerforming Functional Safety Verification test plansPreparation of test instrumentation and data logging equipmentBe familiar with the latest battery testing and certification standardsRepresent the battery testing team within external stakeholder meetingsUnderstand battery interfacing systems such as BMS, OBC, Inverter etcRequired Expertise:
Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experienceExperience working with Automotive or EV SystemsExperience of battery/HV system testing using Vector/CAN based toolsFamiliarity in working with HV testing equipmentMeticulous attention to detail in analysing data/informationProficient with Matlab/Python or similarExcellent problem-solving skillsBattery environmental testingExperience with test automation (desired)Experience in delivering DVP for production
