Key Responsibilities:
Intercell Bus Bar (ICB): Design, develop, and optimize Intercell Bus Bars for efficient power distribution and connectivity within battery packs.
Bussing Systems: Engineer and manage robust bussing systems to ensure reliable electrical connections and efficient power flow.
Component Design and Release: Design, development, and release of electrical components, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into the overall battery energy storage system, ensuring compatibility and performance.
Component Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of electrical components to ensure they meet design specifications and regulatory requirements.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all electrical components comply with relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements, including UL, IEC, and ISO.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical components and systems to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of designs, tests, and processes to support product development, certification, and manufacturing.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in design, materials, and processes to enhance component performance and reduce costs.
Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of electrical components, managing technical specifications and requirements.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Strong understanding of Intercell Bus Bars (ICB) and their application in battery systems.
Proficiency in designing and managing bussing systems for efficient power distribution.
Experience in the design release process, including component design, testing, validation, and documentation.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for electrical components in energy storage systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
