ABOUT THE POSITION

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in office) in Arlington, VA or Houston, TX or Alpharetta, GA


This Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for supporting all Human Resources functions by providing HR system support (Workday and other HR Systems), analysis, testing, reporting, and business process design improvement. This includes business requirements gathering and analysis, design, testing, documentation, and end-user training for upgrades, updates, and enhancements.
The Senior HRIS Analyst (Workday) will serve as a subject matter expert and strategic partner for the HR department by leveraging Workday functionalities to optimize and streamline HR processes. This role involves configuration, system maintenance, reporting, and providing end-user support for Workday HCM and its various modules. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the Workday platform aligns with organizational objectives and meets business needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor, analyze and maintain company’s HRIS landscape, including all relevant integrated and non-integrated systems and infrastructure. 
Partner with customers to gather business requirements and consult on HR System capabilities
Perform configuration in Workday and document modules in Workday HCM
Make recommendations to improve the functionality and effectiveness of all HR systems
Execute the implementation of upgrades, release management and modifications as they are released from all associated vendors
Ensure that the HRIS functionality is meeting the Users needs
Evaluate requests for changes, analyze the impact on the entire system and infrastructure, submit recommendations for approvals, and prioritize and schedule completion of approved requests
Provide Tier 2 support and resolution for HR system, reporting, 
Work with resources of 3rd party systems to facilitate projects and implement new solutions
Write and update system documentation and provide communications as modifications and system upgrades are performed
Run periodic system audits, review and distribute to users for corrections
Continuously interact and research with the Workday Community to ensure awareness of current and future enhancements
Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday and or associated systems

Workday Configuration & Maintenance:
•Manage and configure Workday modules such as Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent & Performance, Time Tracking, Benefits and Payroll.
•Design, build, and test business processes, notifications, and security configurations.
•Execute the implementation of new Workday features and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Reporting & Analytics:
•Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics using Workday reporting tools.
•Provide insights and recommendations to HR and leadership by interpreting data trends and metrics.
•Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and reconciliations.
Support & Troubleshooting:
•Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries and technical issues.
•Provide training and documentation for HR and end-users on Workday functionalities.
•Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues promptly and effectively.
Compliance & Best Practices:
•Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and internal security policies.
•Stay updated on Workday’s new releases and best practices to continuously improve system usage.
•Support audits by preparing required documentation and ensuring data accuracy.

What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in configuring and implementing various modules within Workday cloud enterprise applications
  • Experience with other SAAS based HCM system and implementations highly desirable
  • Ability to define problems effectively, perform system analysis, curate and analyze relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid and concrete conclusions to make and support sound recommendations
  • Strong understanding of data, data structures, and data analytics
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including payroll, benefits administration, talent acquisition and performance management.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data in excel (VLOOKUP’s, Index, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated proven ability to manage multiple, often competing project workloads and activities
  • Comfort and ability to work effectively in both independent and team based scenarios
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage and work with confidential information
  • Comfort with learning on the fly
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness required
  • Workday certification or other system certification in relevant support area preferred
  • Ability to work on highly cross functional, geographically distributed project teams
  • Self-driven and able to lead others or work autonomously to drive solution decisions, troubleshoot system issues, and perform root cause analysis
