Natron Energy is seeking Battery Assembly Technicians to assemble battery cells and packs at its future Edgecombe County, NC location. Hiring for these roles is scheduled to begin in 2026. We are not considering any agency partnerships at this time.
  
This is a hands-on position involving operating battery cell assembly equipment and working in a dry room or glovebox setting. Qualified applicants will have prior hands-on advanced manufacturing experience in battery, semiconductor, medical device, or similar industries. The ideal person for this position will have a positive, team-first attitude, carefully follow work instructions, be meticulous and detail-oriented, and be willing to learn and master new skills. The person will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling raw materials such as chemicals and battery materials. 
  • Operate cell manufacturing equipment, potentially including die punch, cell stacking, drying ovens, and battery test equipment. 
  • Perform measurements and record data for samples, components, and cells. 
  • Maintain a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. 
  • Support development of new processes and products  
  • Work with the team to help identify opportunities for process improvement and support occasional experiments. 
  • Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience following and executing work instructions in an advanced manufacturing setting  
  • Prior battery experience in full-scale, pilot, or lab setting is preferred.  
  • Careful and meticulous when working with samples and when entering data. 
  • Requirements and Safety Considerations:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time. 
  • Able to operate and handle heavy machinery. 
  • No physical limitations to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respirators when required.
