About this role: 

This Associate Process Engineer for the New Product Introduction Business Unit is responsible for application start-up, performance management, and continuous process improvement for a variety of citrus products in South Africa. You will define and refine the optimal application process and establish the critical connection between the process parameters and product performance (shelf-life extension). You will map the evolution of the optimal process while overseeing supplier and retailer trials that enable the execution of the tropical fruit category roadmap. 

What you’ll do: 

• Define application conditions and support operations at site start-up
• Monitor process and performance to maintain consistently high product performance across fruit sites in the EU.
• Create trial charters to demonstrate our value proposition to potential supplier and retailer partners.
• Oversee tests to evaluate new value propositions.
• Evaluate site-level efficacy (process health) granularly.
• Develop a response plan for Operations and create requirements for escalation.
• Define the standard procedures for evaluating new equipment (prototype and off-the-shelf) at the site level.
• Compile monthly reports for site process and performance health.
• Commission installations at new supplier sites.
• Train Operations staff to operate/maintain equipment and enable the Gold Standard process.
