About the team

The Aurora Consumer team is accelerating America’s solar future by aggregating consumers and installers into the first real-time solar marketplace. Aurora Consumer is implementing digital marketing campaigns to generate consumer demand for solar - we are driving traffic to Heliose.com. We then capture the demand by speaking with interested consumers and connecting them with a local installer. In the future, we will take the consumer further into the sales process on behalf of our trusted installer partners. The Aurora Consumer team consists of digital marketing managers, product managers, and its technology team to manage the platform. The team operates collaboratively, focusing on creating a seamless experience for the consumer and removing the friction from their solar buying process. This role is an individual contributor role under the Consumer team.

About the Role

Aurora Consumer is launching its Inside Sales team. This is a full-time, onsite position located at our Salt Lake City, UT office. Relocation Assistance will not be provided for this role.

As our next Associate Inside Sales Representative, you will handle inbound and outbound customer inquiries. You will need to quickly build meaningful relationships with potential customers, assess the suitability of their property for solar installation, and guide them through the solar sales process. This process will range from providing basic solar education to finalizing a solar sale through a signed solar sales agreement. Sales consultations will be conducted over the phone or via Zoom.

Your main role will be to work remotely with customers, educating them about the benefits of solar energy and explaining the process of going solar. You will also need to address any questions or concerns they may have. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact between Aurora Consumer and its local solar installer partners and will be expected to demonstrate expert knowledge in solar systems. Aurora Consumer will provide comprehensive sales and software training.

Your Impact  

  • Conduct virtual sales presentations over Zoom

  • Understand and demonstrate the value of the solar system to the customer

  • Acquire all required sales documents via Aurora software

  • Closing sales and working with the customer through the sales process

  • Knowledgeable in web-based programs including G-Suite

  • Cultivate referral opportunities from new and existing clients

  • Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process

  • Represent Aurora Solar Vision and Mission

What You Bring

  • 0-2 years of sales experience preferred

  • Comfortable using: MS Office, G Suite, CRM's, and Virtual Software

  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed

  • Exceptional organization and follow-up skills are a must

  • Effective professional communicator - must be able to expertly communicate with customers

  • Sales and account management skills

  • Self-motivated and self-directed

Nice to Haves

  • Prior sales or solar experience; but if not we will train the right person

  • College degree preferred, but not required

  • Spanish Bilingual is a plus
