About the company:

Generate Capital is a North American sustainable infrastructure platform that develops, owns, and operates distributed energy and resource infrastructure assets. The company delivers reliable, affordable, and lower-carbon power solutions to a broad range of customers, including communities, corporations, data centers, and large industrial loads. Its integrated platform combines multi-technology solutions, project development, and flexible financing to help customers meet their energy, sustainability, and growth objectives in an increasingly grid-constrained environment. Generate Capital's focus areas span distributed energy and power infrastructure, energy efficiency and electrification, sustainable mobility, water, waste, and digital infrastructure. By leveraging its roots in distributed generation, the company is positioned to deliver power faster than traditional grid-dependent approaches, making it a critical partner in the ongoing energy transition across North America. Founded with a mission to rebuild the world through sustainable infrastructure, Generate Capital differentiates itself through its ability to act as both an investor and an operator, combining capital deployment with hands-on project execution. Led by CEO David Crane, a veteran energy industry executive, the company has grown into a leading platform at the intersection of climate impact and infrastructure finance, serving as a long-term partner for communities and enterprises seeking cleaner, more resilient energy solutions.

The Investor Relations Analyst supports the operational and analytical work of Generate’s Investor Relations function, including shareholder reporting, share and cap table management, investor data and systems, and investor-facing reporting on compliance, impact, and ESG processes. You will work closely with the Investor Relations Head and Senior Director, partnering with Finance, Legal, Accounting, Investments, and Strategy. This role suits a detail-oriented finance professional who wants to build analytical skills, develop relationships across the business, and gain firsthand experience in how an infrastructure investor raises capital and serves its shareholders.

What you will be doing at Generate Capital as the Investor Relations Analyst:

  • Maintain the investor portal, manage shareholder access, keep documents and distribution lists current, and coordinate responses to ad hoc investor requests through completion.

  • Coordinate annual audit confirmations and support regulatory, compliance, and operational due diligence requests in partnership with the relevant internal teams.

  • Prepare quarterly shareholder financial reporting packages with Finance and Accounting, build fluency in Generate’s GAAP and non-GAAP reporting, and help develop materials for quarterly shareholder calls.

  • Contribute to projects across investor relations, capital formation, corporate finance, and marketing and communications; strengthen investor data quality and improve recurring workflows through AI and automation.

  • Maintain the cap table and reconcile it against official share records; keep investor records current in Global Shares; and record approved share issuances, sales, and transfers accurately and promptly.

  • Develop familiarity with Generate’s impact and ESG processes; coordinate data collection and prepare investor reports.

  • Coordinate investor transfers and related legal and operational requests; support shareholder voting events and maintain voting trackers in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and external counsel.

  • Maintain a calendar of reporting obligations under shareholder agreements and coordinate timely delivery.

  • Help plan and execute the annual Investor Day, including preparing materials, managing invitations and RSVPs, and coordinating logistics.

  • Help prepare for and participate in calls and meetings with shareholders, and support investor due diligence requests related to fundraising.

Candidate qualifications & core characteristics:

  • 1-3 years of finance experience at an investment manager or investment bank, or in corporate finance, strategic finance, or a related analytical role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or another quantitative field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple processes and deadlines.

  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate across teams, follow through on requests, and interact professionally with investors and senior executives.

  • Collaborative working style with strong judgment under ambiguity and an ability to recognize when an issue needs escalation.

  • Interest in using AI and automation thoughtfully to improve recurring workflows.

  • Experience in investor relations, capital formation, impact, climate, energy, or infrastructure investing is a plus.

  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks, investor questionnaires, securities regulation, or private company and private fund structures and governance is a plus, as is experience with equity management platforms such as Carta or Global Shares, investor portals, or CRM systems such as DealCloud.

Generate’s compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000. In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
