The Americas Procurement Organization is divided into two teams, Strategy and Execution. This role will focus on Fluence booked projects that have been handed over to the Execution team. In this role you will manage a procurement plan for each project as outlined in the customer contracts. You will manage a small team and work closely with Project Managers and other department leads to successfully deliver each project according to budget and schedule. Collaboration with your counterpart on the Strategy side will be expected to prepare for jobs in the Sales pipeline. 

What does a Americas Procurement Lead do at Fluence?

  • Act as a team lead for the regional execution needs 
  • Procure Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment and materials
  • Create and issue Purchase Orders in our ERP system
  • Lead Request for Quote (RFQ) initiatives for material and service packages
  • Expedite materials and equipment to support project schedules
  • Identify and mitigate risks, proactively resolving issues and encouraging your team to do the same 
  • Assign and support weekly procurement meetings with each Project team to provide updates on procurement activities 
  • Maintain high level delivery reports on a regular cadence 
  • Implement standard templates for procurement schedules and RFQ packages
  • Negotiate Terms and Conditions and Master Service Agreements with suppliers and service providers 
  • What does the ideal candidate look like?

  • 5+ years of Supply Chain Experience
  • Renewables experience strongly encouraged 
  • Contract negotiation skills 
  • Self-motivated and proactive
