Position: Agronomy Demo and Trial Manager
Location: Remote
The Product Innovation Team at Pivot Bio is seeking an experienced Agronomy Trial Manager to help us scale our on-farm, customer experience, and research trials. You will work closely with a diverse team across multiple departments supporting the management and day-to-day execution of field trial protocols. Using your extensive technical knowledge of farming equipment and digital on-farm systems you will play an essential role in educating and training the team in best practices for on-farm data connectivity and digital farming data collection.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support on-farm and sales rep agronomic trials. Duties include developing, implementing, and managing the day-to-day execution of multiple research and customer trials.
- Provide technical support for trialing and precision ag software. Duties include researching and implementing precision ag and trialing platforms for use by Pivot Bio employees and the subsequent training of the field team.
- Provide direct agronomic, technical and precision ag platform support to sales reps, agronomists and Pivot Bio Commercial Team.
- Manage relationships and collaborative projects with third party trialing partners.
- Oversee the capture, processing, and analysis of multiple forms of trial data with focus on digital/precision ag data.
- Coordinate and support the training of all on-farm trial participants. Participants may include agronomists, sales reps, farmers, commercial agronomists, product development agronomists, and other members of the commercial team.
- Support cross functional trialing efforts between commercial and product development agronomy team.
- Provide direct trialing support to customers and third-party groups on as needed basis.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Agricultural field testing and on-farm trialing
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lead and support agronomic training and on-farm trialing efforts
- Strong background and working knowledge of precision ag software and platforms. Must be capable of interfacing with all types of farmer precision ag equipment.
