As an Advanced Production Technician you will be a key part of Arrival's first Van Microfactory.
Whilst the basis of the role is defined, you will be involved with continual process improvement and development. Once the optimised production process is defined this model will be rolled out to future Microfactories all over the world.
You will start your Arrival journey within the Banbury R&D operations site. You will be required to be onsite daily and be hands-on with the vehicle build program.
You will move to the Bicester Microfactory where the processes and skills learned at Banbury will be utilised within the production environment. Once the Microfactory is fully operational, shift work will be required (Monday to Friday only)

What you'll be doing
For the initial 6 monthsWorking as part of a team with the Banbury R&D build teamCorrectly identify parts prior to fittingUse DC & manual hand toolsYou will follow detailed working instructions within the build manual, testing the processes and looking for areas of process optimisation. Use of measuring equipment including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, vernier calipers and micrometersData and progress recording within Arrival MES systemOnce the Microfactory is operational
Work as part of a team in a general assembly cell Select parts from line side storage using various handling devices and overhead cranes where necessaryBuild sub-assemblies directly onto fixturesLoading and securing of wiring harnesses and electrical connectionsEnsure H&S procedures are followed and adhered to at all timesEnsuring all work meets quality standards
What you'll need
