The Role:
Oversee the daily accounting activities and ensure that all tasks and projects including closing and reporting are completed accurately and timelyManage the periodic close and consolidation processes in SAP across the various functions and with the corporate and local finance teams in compliance with accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP)Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements, monitor accounting transactionsPerform detailed analytical reviews of the assigned financial reporting areas, including reconciliations and issuance of financial statementsPrepare and manage journal entries related to various general ledger accountsReconcile balance sheet accounts at period-end to ensure balances are fully supportedAssist in developing, implementing and performing processes and internal controls in accordance with SOX complianceWork closely with relevant departments to ensure compliance with accounting policiesEvaluate processes/controls to improve efficiency and effectiveness on a continuous basisEnsure the readiness of conduct of audit accounting records at any timePrepare documents and schedules as required by statutory or internal audit and tax authoritiesWork with auditors and manage audit requests to drive timely and successful completion of annual auditsInvestigate and resolve material variances on balance sheet, P/L and cash flow statements and provide related explanations and decision guidance to managementConsolidate and report G/L for the relevant entities Ensure payable and receivables are appropriately dispositioned and settledSupport activities related to payroll, procurement and other functionsCollaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis team on developing and implementing plans for budgeting, forecasting and reportingProvide process and system training and support to the respective finance and business teamsAcknowledge about fixed assets schedule and tracing assets register report (addition, disposal and deprecation calculation)Support monthly bank reconciliationsCreate reports on the company’s financial situationMaintain accurate account files and recordsReconcile accounts payable and receivableSupport in computing taxes and preparing tax returnsReport on the company’s financial health and liquidityMaintain accurate accounts receivable customer files and recordsSupport the payroll and AR/AP team and manage local regulatory requirementsAssist in converting US GAAP figures to IFRS and local GAAP standardsSupport with the implementation of new accounting related guidelinesEnsure financial data confidentiality Special projects and other ad hoc assignments as assignedQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA, MBA and SOCPA preferredMinimum of 10 years of accounting/finance experience.Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP as well as finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control proceduresExcellent time management skills, communication, decision making, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and develop strong partnerships, able to work with flexible work schedule to communicate with US HQHigh proficiency with SAP and MS Office/ExcelManagerial Accounting experience in the automotive industry and from Big 4 would be a great plus
