Nira Energy is a software and data analytics company focused on accelerating the clean energy transition by streamlining the grid interconnection process. The company delivers ISO-accurate capacity and cost data tools that help renewable energy developers, transmission planning engineers, utility teams, and Independent System Operators (ISOs) de-risk interconnection studies and make faster, more confident siting and queue decisions. By replicating ERIS and NRIS interconnection studies with high fidelity, Nira Energy enables its customers to identify cost discrepancies, avoid false positives, and reduce expensive upgrade risks before committing capital to projects.
Nira Energy's mission is centered on enabling efficient grid transformation to support the large-scale deployment of clean energy. The platform has modeled over 700 gigawatts of projects and has helped uncover more than five billion dollars in cost discrepancies for customers, with over 100 developers relying on its tools. The company was built by engineers with direct experience at ISOs, utilities, and leading energy developers, giving its methodology a level of technical credibility and alignment that distinguishes it from approximation-based alternatives.
What makes Nira Energy unique is its commitment to transparency and ISO-aligned methodology, providing stakeholders across the energy value chain with a shared, accurate view of interconnection data. This approach reduces information asymmetry between developers and grid operators, ultimately helping more clean energy projects reach operation faster and with less wasted capital.
About Nira Energy
- Nira's mission is to help convert the US power grid to be 100% fossil-free.
