About This Role:
As Crusoe’s Lead Wiring Technician you will be responsible for the daily coordination of team performance to ensure that daily schedules are on-time with zero quality and safety incidents. In addition to the oversight of the team, you are also required to personally work on project tasks as a functioning team member when possible, though not at the expense of performing leadership responsibilities. You need to be able to perform all functions of the project so you can train and work with each member to improve the team’s performance and efficiency.
A Day In The Life:
Communicate team’s daily department production details (production schedule, materials shortages, team priorities, etc.), ensuring that all work activities are assigned and coverage is planned for absences
Communicate team status to Sr. Supervisor identifying production constraints and other needs
Oversee the team’s safety and quality to ensure job standards are met and safety procedures are followed
Train and coach team members on project tasks as needed, assess their skills and training needs
Basic hand tool skills, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), drilling and tapping of metal, using correct fixings, measuring, stripping, crimping and cutting.
Read controls and electrical manufacturing drawings to a competent level.
Have a good understanding of industry manufacturing procedures.
Understand cable sizing, using correct ferrule and crimp sizes.
Have basic knowledge of the difference between power and control wiring.
Be able to read HPI drawings and have an understanding of the cable color coding.
Can liaise between the project engineer and other project team members regarding manufacturing and drawing standards and procedures.
Have basic knowledge of field cabling and securing cables, conduit, cable-tray and trunking.
Install & mount field devices, terminating cables to instrumentation, marshaling cabinets and junction boxes.
Can assemble, wire and loom to HPI’s standard.
Understand keeping material levels sufficient for uninterrupted manufacturing.
You Will Thrive In This Role:
High School diploma or GED.
2+ years of prior experience in an electronic assembly environment or as an electrician’s apprentice.
Ability to read and understand a wide range of blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Must have reasonable understanding of electronic/electrical theory.
Must have mechanical aptitude.
Prior management experience is preferred but not required
Ability to check and modify drawings as needed.
Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily.
Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
Must be detail oriented.
Must be a team player willing to take on additional roles as needed.
Have a good attitude and willingness to learn.
Willing to take a background and drug test.

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be in the range of $30-$35/hr. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
