Overview

Rivian is seeking a Vehicle Test Operations Specialist to assist our Software Test Operations Engineers with conducting drive testing of the R1T, R1S and Electric Delivery Van (EDV) vehicles. The Vehicle Test Operations Specialist will be a direct liaison between test driver teams; Vehicle Software Integration & Test team; and Software Technical Program Management.

Responsibilities

Oversee execution of software drive test: ensure drivers conduct testing per engineering-developed procedures and collect/triage subjective driver feedback regarding the quality of vehicle software.
Work with Software Technical Project Managers to identify new bugs in software based on driver feedback
Keep drivers informed of vehicle behavior changes based on new software builds - work with TPMs to ensure there is good understanding of new features as they become available
Review and update drive test procedures to cover all features of R1 and EDV platforms as the feature set changes over time
Coordinate vehicle schedules for test and workshop downtime; ensure high vehicle utilization

Qualifications

3+ years of experience operating Electric Vehicles as a test driver or operations specialist
Proficient with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Ability to remain adaptive and curious in ambiguous situations
Willingness to learn about Electric Vehicle systems at a deep level
Great communication skills
