About the company:

BETA Technologies is creating an electric transportation ecosystem that’s safe, reliable and sustainable. A relentlessly focused team is building an extensive charging infrastructure and ALIA, the world’s most technologically advanced electric vertical aircraft (EVA).

BETA’s platform and products are strikingly simple. Prioritization of safety and a pragmatic approach to certification drive elegant redundancy, appropriate diversity of implementation and simplicity of control. ALIA’s fixed-pitch propellers and centrally located batteries make it an inherently stable aircraft that is safe to fly and easy to maneuver.

At BETA Technologies, we apply our intellectual curiosity, passion for aviation, and commitment to sustainability toward a shared mission of revolutionizing electric aviation. Regardless of the position one holds, each team member brings their talent and desire to positively impact the environment and lives of others in a refreshing, vibrant, and inclusive culture.

The Propulsion Test Technician is responsible for the setup, execution, and support of tests for aircraft electric motors, inverters, and associated components. This role includes not only the assembly and testing of propulsion system components but also the routine maintenance and troubleshooting of test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical background, with experience in electrical systems and test equipment, as well as excellent problem-solving skills to address any technical challenges that arise.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position requires handling motors and inverters using cranes and other lifting equipment. It also requires
climbing on propeller stands using proper safety equipment to inspect the equipment.

Test technicians must be aware of the acoustic properties of motors and good hearing is required. Good vision
is also required to inspect components. The test technician is frequently required to use hands or fingers,
handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Test technicians will work around high voltages and must be able to work safely in that environment. Some
of the testing is conducted outside the ability to work at those extreme temperatures is required.

Test programs sometimes require the test technicians to participate in atypical work schedules.

Additionally, as magnets are used throughout the equipment, it is important that candidates are not affected
by strong magnetic fields (e.g., individuals with pacemakers or similar medical devices should be aware of
potential safety concerns).

Inclusivity Statement
Even if you don't meet every requirement, if you are driven and meet most criteria, we encourage you to apply.
