Job Description:

The Territory Manager’s primary responsibility is to drive growth while renewing and expanding existing agreements. The Territory Manager will identify new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. They will also play a key role in increasing revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services. This role requires the ability to remain current with respect to the knowledge of all products, services, and competition and drive revenue growth using a consultative approach with business executives and business owners.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Pacific Northwest territory of the United States to drive and support growth of Hazel products and services.
  • Implement and execute business priorities.
  • Meet financial and forecast expectations and generate accurate forecasts and pipelines within com.
  • Become a trusted advisor and advocate for the customer, ensuring the best possible customer experience through deep technical and workflow knowledge-share, tailored goal-setting, and open lines of communication.
  • Conduct business planning to drive growth with direct and focused market segments.
  • Develop sales strategies and adjust to meet changing market and competitive conditions for complex product lines.
  • Independently manage and grow business within a set geography by raising awareness of Hazel products and industry experience.
  • Effectively communicate Hazel’s features, benefits, and services.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns; recommend a course of action to alleviate future concerns.
  • Maintain records of customer communications and contact information as required.
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Working knowledge of price calculations.
  • Cultivate a positive working relationship with cross functional teams across the organization to ensure driving growth within the book of business.
  • Manage the sales process and leverage internal technical resources as needed to meet customer requirements.
    • Appropriately engage Postharvest Specialists to support customer technical trials outside of routine demonstrations.
    • Appropriately engage Product Managers on topics related to customer needs, development of marketing materials, demand forecasting, pricing, industry trends, etc.
    • Collaborate with key decision makers with the intent to identify opportunities and develop ideas that deliver strong sales results.
  • Research market requirements and market data.
  • Understand regulatory requirements by region.
  • Demonstrate and explain best practices in installation techniques for all Hazel products that support and align with labelling instructions.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of customer business objectives, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Assist new customers by traveling to customer facilities and provide routine technical support for product implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
  • Eight (8) + years of experience in large enterprise sales with demonstrated ability to exceed quota.
  • Ability to create and present technical presentations.
  • Ability to qualify opportunities quickly and build relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate a successful history of time and territory management and a high degree of confidence throughout the sales cycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, high energy, and a “can do” attitude, balancing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently consistently and effectively.
  • Knowledge of the business intelligence market.
  • Working knowledge of CRM or Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Professional working proficiency level in Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Salary Range: $130,000-$140,000
