The Role:
You will build complex EV battery packs following specific instructions, both written and verbalPerform electrical tests on low and high voltage systems to ensure proper functionality of battery packsClearly document all anomalous findings and required information during engineering buildsWork with engineering teams to highlight problems and streamline build processesOpportunity to support Arizona factory bring up and Formula E trackside supportQualifications:
Experience in building, testing, and troubleshooting HV battery packs or similarWorking understanding of basic electrical principalsThorough understanding and experience in using precision resistance measurement equipment (Hioki), high potential electrical testers (Hipot), digitial multi-meters, and CAN bus communicationCan maintain an impeccably organized workspace while meeting aggressive deadlinesStrong understanding on proper handling of lithium cells, modules, and packsFamiliar with electrical hazard risks including high voltage systemsIs able to diagnose problems and perform root-cause analysis activities to a basic degree. Minimum of 3 years of electrical, mechatronic or automotive technician experience
Preferred:
ASE Certification2-3 years of experience in building HV batteries.Education:
Minimum: High School Diploma with significant relevant professional experiencePreferred: Technical or Vocational Degree or Certificate
