As the Technical writer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. In this role, you will:
o Work collaboratively with Product Managers and Engineers to obtain an in-depth understanding of our products and what customers need to know to be successful.
o Author multiple documentation packages tied to support Fluence products, with particular focus on manuals for installation, operation and maintenance, commissioning, datasheets, and troubleshooting tasks.
o Sustain all current documentation by taking on work requests for updates, corrections, and additions needed.
o Work independently to support documentation on different projects and programs.
o Develop a strong understanding of document structure, the subject matter, formal grammar rules, and departmental and industry procedural and stylistic standards.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
o Possess a Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of technical writing experience.
o Ability to write clear, easy-to-understand documents depicting highly technical subjects.
o Good knowledge and understanding of technical writing standards and processes. Familiarity with Microsoft Manual of Style and technical writing standards.
o Proven ability to work effectively across multiple teams and projects concurrently, in a global technical business environment.
o Working knowledge of a Content Management Systems which is based on single sourcing concept comprising HTML, XML authoring and Git.
o Working knowledge of any CAD based illustration tool.
o Exhibit excellent grammar and composition skills.
o Ability to manage documentation schedules, reviews, and internal approvals.
o Ability to work with minimal direction.
o Experience using Jira, Confluence & SharePoint.
o Preferred: background in industrial systems and/or clean energy.
