With a team built by pollination and bee health scientists we can increase between 20-90% crop yields. Beeflow's pollination service increases beekeeper's income as well. Bee-hives are transported and safeguarded on fields within scientific standards to avoid any health problem. We can help to reduce bee population decline. Science-based solutions regarding pollination efficiency and bee health are also being developed.

About Beeflow

Beeflow applies scientific knowledge and technologies to bee pollination. By providing professional pollination services to farmers, we increase crop yields in a sustainable way while promoting a regenerative agriculture. We are based in Ventura County, CA and Sierra de Los Padres, Argentina but work throughout multiple regions in the US and Latin America with dozens of customers during their crop pollination seasons.

Our tech transfer specialist is responsible for leading the global relationships with scientific institutions to identify new technologies and ensure a successful tech transfer process for our company. The main role of our technology transfer specialist is to facilitate the collaboration between academia and Beeflow’s Field Development team. Reports to the IP, Tech Transfer and Product Development Lead.

What is this role responsible for?

  • Identify new innovative technologies related to pollination in academia and the global scientific ecosystem for potential incorporation into Beeflow’s portfolio. Identify inventions that have significant commercial potential.
  • Work with our R&D team to conduct a competitive field analysis of the value or advantage of  new inventions compared to existing technologies. Keep track of results and analyze them with R&D team.
  • Assess the commercial viability of new technologies working together with our  Business Development Manager. 
  • Manage the tech transfer process to bring these new technologies to market. Execute tech transfer strategic planning.
  • Understand the different expectations of the academic researchers, Beeflow and the representatives of the agtech/biotech industry.
  • Build successful relationships with professors, scientists, legal representatives of scientific Institutions, or/and biotechnology industry professionals. Forge collaborations between companies and academic faculty members and facilitate the licensing and formation of strategic partnerships with Technology Transfer Officers.
  • Keep track of the goals of collaborative projects and identify potential issues.
  • Attract suitable industry partners who will facilitate development, tech transfer, and commercialization of our technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date on the current pollination industry trends, as well as researching more about the intellectual property protections that are essential in technology transfer.
  • Work with R&D and Field Development team to develop and test new technologies in the field.  Keep track of results. Analyze results with R&D team.
  • Work with IP and Regulatory affairs specialists. 
  • Create internal and external tech transfer reports for each technology.

  • Proficient internet and Microsoft Office computer experience
