About the company:
The System Modelling Engineer will be looking after system models and 1-D simulations. Superconducting magnet systems operate across several domains - thermal, electrical, magnetic, mechanical, and control, which complicates the system development process. The System Modelling Engineer’s job will be to create and maintain a system model that documents behaviour and structure, while also augmenting it with simulations of the relevant physical processes to allow for quicker design of mechanical, electrical, and software components.

· Degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
· Experience with 1-D modelling tools such as Modelica, Simulink or Amesim
· Experience with Electrical or Thermal simulation.
· Programming/scripting skills in either Matlab, MySQL, or similar
Desired
· Postgraduate Degree or practical experience in Systems Engineering, ideally with exposure to Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
· Skills in applying control theory for closed-loop systems
· Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
· Skills in using Simscape Toolboxes (e.g. Electrical, Fluids, System Composer)
· Experience with an MBSE tool, e.g. Capella, Enterprise Architect, CATIA Magic, other.
