About the Role

Loam is looking for a highly experienced leader with a deep understanding of United States (US) agriculture, on-farm customer relationships and sales to lead the US go-to-market, and carbon project delivery.

The successful candidate will have a sincere interest in helping farmers and go-to-market partners create new business opportunities, improve production practices, and a commitment to supporting them as they leverage our microbial products to improve soil health and soil carbon while realising associated economic benefits through Loam’s carbon platform

The role requires experience and a clear understanding of how agricultural innovation and R&D is commercialised and deployed in the market.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the US commercial operations for Loam Bio’s business
  • Contribute your years of agribusiness, farmer interaction, supply-chain and commodity experience to the development of Loam’s US go-to-market strategy
  • Leverage your extensive corporate networks to secure strategic partnerships and distribution channels
  • Leverage a traditional lens of agriculture towards new opportunities in soil health and carbon markets to maximise the benefits of natural capital for US farming businesses
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing operation of processes, KPIs and systems to support scalability and efficiency across both sales and project delivery teams
  • Collaborate closely with the US product development teams to help advise on commercial considerations for R&D priorities and timing while advising on key datasets and other development outcomes important for successful commercialization globally
  • Collaborate closely with the Measurement & Technology team to leverage and deploy all appropriate technologies, protocols and systems
  • Manage the appropriate country level budgets and targets.

Requirements

About You

  • Minimum 12 years of experience within Agriculture or Agribusiness with leadership experience in a commercial capacity
  • Proven ability to lead and build a fast-paced and dynamic team that can operate in a highly agile and innovative environment
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing country/product/functional level strategies for market entry and adoption in the agricultural sector
  • Strong track record and expertise in building and leading an agribusiness sales organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong and collaboratives relationships within and external to your organization
  • Expertise and experience in large-scale project management and operations
  • Confidence in calling on the most successful players in the US agriculture industry - including input providers, commodity groups, regulators, retailers, processors/merchants, and large growers
  • Expert-level skills in managing commercial processes and business administration
  • Experience in building and managing high-performing teams
  • Experience in building and delivering performance data and analytics
  • Confident in using software to manage business processes, including email, CRM, and
  • Proven track record in developing and managing talent.
