We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager, working closely with our suppliers as well as various internal stakeholders to ensure program objectives are met and products are delivered on schedule. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Energy, you will be responsible for the operational Battery pack supply chain activities for aircraft suppliers and supply packages.
Overall Goals:
- Manage your component suppliers “end to end”, from forecasting/planning, purchasing, supplier development & monitoring, delivery to final payment (P2P)
- Be the “plant manager” for your respective scope, be in control and take responsibility for on-time delivery, supplier schedule, supplier capacity and change implementation.
- Collaborate closely with all related departments (Category Management, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain Quality, Operations, Finance) to achieve your goals and support the business strategy
Day to Day:
- Support the cross-functional team to identify and assess potential suppliers and take them to serial contract signature.
- Lead the cross-functional team to drive contracted suppliers towards industrialization of new products.
- Ensure the readiness of the supply base by launching capability assessments as well as capacity audits at relevant suppliers
- Implement proper risk management to avoid any disruption to the supply of battery pack components
- Drive recovery actions internally and at suppliers in case of non-performance
- Manage inventories, establish and implement a global warehouse and distribution plan in close collaboration with the logistics team
- Work with the Supply Chain Quality Team to ensure that the supply chain will comply to all necessary quality standards of EASA 21G and EN9100.
- Establish, measure and monitor supply chain related KPIs
- Take part in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities
Your Profile:
Required:
- Minimum qualifications / education: Bachelor of Engineering and/or Business Administration Degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain or technical project management roles.
- Excellent communications and leadership maturity. Ability to build trust and consensus and secure commitment from all team members. Understanding and reflection of impact of leadership style on team dynamics
- Can-do mindset, ability to understand and analyze a problem and come up with solutions.
- Customer-centric with a broad understanding of the business environment
- Willingness to travel on demand within EU as well as worldwide for supplier visits.
- Fluent in English
Beneficial:
- Technical understanding and experience with battery pack component production
- Strong knowledge of Lean production, automation and serial production
- Knowledge of key (supply chain-) financials affecting companies’ figures
- Fluent in German
