Responsibilities and Duties
- Review and assess manufacturing procedures by visiting vendor facilities and observing their manufacturing environment.
- Work with suppliers and company stakeholders to establish robust incoming quality assurance procedures, tests, and specifications.
- Establish and maintain systems to monitor quality trends associated with incoming products received and respond appropriately to signals.
- Maintain detailed documentation related to supplier quality and provide technical guidance and advice to suppliers and to decision-makers within company.
- Serve as liaison between company senior management and vendors. Meet with both parties to identify issues in supply quality and work toward a solution.
- Gather information from both parties to support the flow of information. Champion process-based thinking and quality mindset throughout the company.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Physics.
- Experience must include four (4) years of post-bachelor’s progressive experience in all of the following:
- Working in an ISO certified industrial setting (automotive, semiconductor, PV, chemical industry, batteries, pharmaceuticals, or similar); Working within or auditing Quality Management Systems; ISO or IATF standards; Statistical process control, process capability analysis, 8D problem solving, root cause analysis, and failure modes and effects analysis; Statistical software packages (eg, JMP) to retrieve and analyze large/complex data sets.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- 10% travel required to North America, Europe, and Asia to visit domestic and international suppliers and perform audits.
The starting base pay for this role is between $132,000 and $156,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
