We are looking for an engineer to join our New Product Integration team. You will be focused on fabrication and manufacturing. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of the development of Electric Hydrogen's electrolysis plant, including: DFM support and feedback across teams, supporting supplier development, traditional New Product Introduction tasks, and first of a kind plant deployment.

You will work in a hybrid setting with 2-3 days onsite at our San Carlos, CA office and 40% travel. You will report to the manager of New Product Integrations and will work on a variety of projects focused on building and integrating first of a kind chemical process facilities.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, and design fixtures/tooling for the electrolyzer plant
  • Work with factory, manufacturing, facility, and fabrication teams to incorporate release cycles
  • Identify areas for DFM and cost improvement and work with teams to integrate it into the product
  • Work with supply chain to identify and onboard vendors and partners
  • Assess the sustainability of a fabrication technology for a given part design
  • Plan validation experiments to demonstrate manufacturing process feasibility
  • Train and hand off the product manufacturing to the sustaining manufacturing team once the manufacturing processes are developed and refined

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3+ years industry experience
  • 3+ years experience working on technical projects from the design phase through implementation, including starting and optimizing manufacturing
  • Experience in manufacturing process, DFMA, and product optimization
  • Proficient in CAD software (Solid Works, Autodesk, On Shape)
  • Experience with welding, manufacturing, fabrication, and vendor QA/QC
  • Experience working on modular chemical process facility design, with tolerance stack up analysis

$119,000$159,000 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
