Summer Intern - Synthetic Biology

We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Synthetic Biology team as a summer intern from July-Sept 2024.

The Synthetic Biology group is rapidly expanding its capabilities across a number of functions including deep characterization of engineered mammalian cell lines. You will be instrumental in optimizing and executing cell genotyping approaches which will support multiple projects. Your responsibilities will include DNA extraction and quantification, PCR, and also optimization and execution of ddPCR-based assays. Your knowledge of molecular biology techniques, combined with your attention to detail and motivation to learn will make you highly effective in this role.

You’ll get to work cross collaboratively with team members in high throughput assay development, hardware engineering, bioprocessing, and data science disciplines to establish genotyping approaches that are crucial for Prolific’s success. This is a unique position and opportunity to leverage quantitative biology in an industrial setting. You’ll be provided with room for technical growth and receive mentorship to help you succeed.
