Who You Are

The Strategic Planning Manager will be responsible for setting the vision for Sila's battery materials demand and production planning function. This individual will lead the development, implementation, and improvement of business processes, reporting methodologies, and IT infrastructure of our Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to support our expanding manufacturing capabilities.

This role will be instrumental in scaling our manufacturing footprint, influencing decisions on inventory strategy, input materials contracts and storage, and logistics infrastructure.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and implement activities associated with the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process
  • Develop and lead the near-term capacity-constrained demand plan. Lead roll-up of the operational schedule, including planned shutdowns, inventory levels, and outages
  • Identify and lead efforts around resolving significant and/or critical supply-demand imbalances
  • Drive alignment among Strategy, Finance, and Product leaders on long-range multi-year supply-demand forecasts that conform with Sila's strategy and product roadmap
  • Work with IT to enhance Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Experienced supply chain leader in a planning role
  • Proved experience in a manufacturing setting with demonstrated ability to lead sophisticated organizational initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • In-depth experience with industrial planning, inventory management, and operations.
  • Knowledge and experience using MRP and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Sage X3.
  • Strong influential leadership skills with an affinity for mentoring
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated analytical conclusions and succinctly to partners across the organization and at executive briefings; listens well.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc., in a fixed location
  • Apply established protocols in a timely manner

The starting base pay for this role is between $128,000 and $162,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay within these ranges depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future
