InnovaFeed is a biotech company that produces natural and sustainable ingredients for animal feed and plant nutrition from insect rearing (Hermetia illucens). 

We contribute to the growth of a high-quality fish farming sector by providing a new source of sustainable, natural and high-performance protein. We also produce high-quality insect oil than can be used in poultry and swine feed, as an alternative to imported oils. Our oil is rich in lauric acid, known for its anti-microbial properties. Finally, insect dejections are used as an organic fertilizer, closing the nitrogen loop in a circular way. 

InnovaFeeds’ innovating insect rearing process is deployed on an industrial scale to address the strain on natural resources in a responsible and sustainable way. 

Leveraging expertise at the forefront of biotech research, our unique model is supported by many key actors in the scientific, political and financial fields.

As the world leader in alternative animal proteins, Innovafeed contributes to the construction of a sustainable food system by developing a pioneering and innovative industry: the breeding and processing of insects (Hermetia Illucens fly).

- Dealing with global protein deficit by strengthening our food systems

- To have a positive overall environmental impact based on circular economy and inspired by natural food chains;

- To generate territorial economic dynamism : in order to feed and raise our larvaes, we are co-located with agro-industrial partners that provide us with co-products and low footprint energy.

 

Incorporated in 2016, Innovafeed manufactures and sells 3 different insect-based products:

· Insect protein for a more sustainable and qualitative aquaculture, especially for feeding salmon and trout 🐟

· Insect oil for feeding animals (like pig and poultry), in the context of sustainable farming respectful of animal welfare 🐤 

·  Insect feces used as an effective organic fertilizer 🌱

In September of 2022, at Innovafeed, we raised US$ 250 million in Series D funding bringing the total cumulative financing to US$ 450 million. This capital will be used to further increase our production capacity in France through the further expansion of our Nesle site in the north of France, the world’s largest vertical insect farm.

La mission de l'équipe Scale-up est de préparer l’avenir d’Innovafeed. Son rôle est d’imaginer, concevoir et développer des nouveaux équipements et process permettant d’améliorer l’efficacité des sites industriels d’Innovafeed . Au sein du département Ingénierie, elle est en charge des développements amonts de nouvelles technologies et de leur montée en maturité.

 

Le rôle de l’équipe Scale-up est de :

- Préparer les nouvelles technologies au service du déploiement industriel ambitieux en Europe et à l’international avec un budget d’investissement mobilisé par l’équipe de plus 250 M€ sur 3 ans ;

- participer à l’industrialisation d’un système de production complètement nouveau afin de nous aider à atteindre nos objectifs ambitieux d’impact à grande échelle et de croissance ;

- contribuer à atteindre un nouvel horizon en matière de vertical farming ;

- assurer l’interface avec nos équipes production, performance, R&D, Business Development et finance pour bâtir notre modèle de déploiement industriel de demain.

 

Ce stage vous permettra d’allier vos compétences techniques et relationnelles et vous bénéficierez d’un équilibre optimal entre travail au bureau et travail sur le terrain.

 

L’équipe ingénierie est divisée de deux façons :

- En différentes verticales, qui correspondent chacune à une étape de notre process d’élevage et de transformation d’insecte,

- En plusieurs équipes transverses (CVC, EIA …).

Si vous nous rejoignez dans le cadre de cette offre vous serez plus particulièrement en charge de :

 

-        D’aider les membres de l’équipe à développer de nouveaux équipements nécessaires à l’amélioration des performances de nos sites industriels, que ce soit des systèmes mécaniques, systèmes de mesure, automatiques.

-        Participer à l’amélioration de technologies existantes.

-        Fabriquer des prototypes permettant la démonstration fonctionnelle des solutions envisagées

-        Conduire des expérimentations afin de mesurer l’impact zootechnique de nos technologies

Etudiant de niveau bac +5 en école d’ingénieur ou équivalent, vous avez déjà réalisé un ou plusieurs stages en industrie avec un intérêt sur l'innovation et le développement de procédés industriels.

Doté.e d’un bon relationnel, vous appréciez être en contact avec différentes parties prenantes (entreprises prestataires, opérateurs, …).

Nous cherchons quelqu'un avec une appétence pour le terrain, une grande curiosité pour les nouvelles technologies, et un goût pour le bricolage et la réalisation de prototypes. Un intérêt pour les machines, les chantiers ou même pour la conception mécanique serait aussi apprécié.

Etant donné le caractère innovant de notre activité, votre créativité, vos qualités analytiques et la structuration de la réflexion seront des atouts indispensables pour aboutir aux meilleures solutions. L'esprit de synthèse et la coordination sont par ailleurs essentiels afin d'intégrer les besoins de l'ensemble des parties prenantes.
