Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Staff Inventory Control Analyst in our Production Warehousing team reporting to the Sr. Manager of Production Warehousing. The Staff Inventory Control Analyst is the strategic architect of inventory integrity within our manufacturing facility. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring 100% data parity between Oracle ERP, WMS, and MES, effectively bridging the gap between physical shop-floor movements and digital enterprise records.

You will lead the Inventory Control Team in deploying a robust, audit-ready cycle count program and serve as the technical lead for Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) on system posting failures. As a key partner to Process Engineering and the MES team, you will drive the transition toward automated material consumption and real-time WIP tracking. This is a high-visibility role that combines technical systems expertise, forensic data analysis, and cross-functional leadership to eliminate production downtime and ensure financial compliance across the facility’s entire inventory lifecycle

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 – Form Energy’s 550,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Weirton, WV, a commutable distance from Pittsburgh. Purpose-built for high-volume, advanced battery production, Form Factory 1 is a hub of fast-moving, collaborative work driving a new era of large-scale American energy manufacturing in the heart of the Rust Belt.

Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do:

  • Program Leadership & Compliance

    • Cycle Count Ownership: Architect, enhance, and deploy a robust, audit-ready cycle count program that meets internal controls and external regulatory compliance standards.

    • Team Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to the Inventory Control Team, setting daily priorities and fostering a culture of precision and accountability.

    • Policy Governance: Monitor and enforce site-wide inventory control policies, ensuring full compliance with corporate SOPs and financial audit requirements.

  • Systems & Integration (Oracle, WMS, MES)

    • System Reconciliation: Lead the synchronization of inventory data between Oracle WMS and ERP, ensuring real-time data parity and financial accuracy across all systems of record.

    • Transactional RCCA: Act as the technical lead for Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) regarding transaction posting failures between WMS and ERP; identify systemic bottlenecks and implement permanent fixes.

    • MES Automation: Partner with the MES team to design and deploy automated material consumption programs for WIP inventory, transitioning production lines to trigger-based, real-time backflushing.

    • Process Engineering Alignment: Collaborate with Process Engineers to audit shop-floor layouts, ensuring that physical material movements are mirrored accurately by digital system transactions.

    • Future Automation: Serve as the inventory subject matter expert (SME) for future automation initiatives, ensuring seamless data alignment between FMS (Fleet Management Systems), WMS, and ERP.

  • Production Support & Planning

    • Packaging Strategy: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle for packaging inventory, including forecasting, procurement, and ensuring line-side readiness to prevent production delays.

    • Stock-Out Prevention: Partner closely with the Material Planning team to validate system accuracy, ensuring that planning models are based on accurate data to avoid critical stock-outs.

    • Analytics & Reporting: Prepare and deliver executive-level monthly and quarterly inventory health reports, highlighting KPIs, turnover, and forensic variance analysis.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution operation in an inventory management role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related technical field

  • APICS (CPIM or CSCP) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certifcation is preferred

  • Experience supervising a team of cycle counters or coordinators in a high-pressure manufacturing environment

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
