Who you will be reporting to: Senior Manager, Business Applications

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Develops and maintains enterprise integration solution architecture for APIs using MuleSoft.
  • Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate API and integration projects
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as software developers, system architects, and business partners/analysts, to understand integration requirements and critical thinking to design, develop, test, and document APIs using the MuleSoft platform. Strong communication skills are vital for effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Your deep understanding of MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform, Salesforce, and EDI integration would be crucial for implementing complex integrations. You should have a strong grasp of integration patterns, API design principles, and data transformation techniques. Additionally, you would be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in MuleSoft, Salesforce, and EDI technologies.
  • Determine the specifications, plans, and design, and individually or with the project team develop complex and business-critical software solutions that utilize the appropriate software engineering processes.
  • As a Staff engineer, you would provide technical guidance and mentorship to the integration team. You would oversee development activities, review code, and ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and performance optimization techniques.
  • You will be responsible for facilitating effective communication and collaboration between onshore (business) and offshore development teams. Acting as an interface when needed to make sure smooth delivery of the project.
  • Support the integration environment and solutions, including off-hours support of business-critical integration solutions.
  • Participate in various Scrum processes as a member of the Agile team
  • Be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof of concepts to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers derived from a set of strong engineering principles
  • Support and manage existing APIs built leveraging the MuleSoft platform

Requirements

  • BS/MS Computer Science (or equivalent) degree is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in an IT or software engineering role developing and supporting integration web services.
  • 5+ years of MuleSoft architecture, design, and development with hands-on experience in enterprise-level projects
  • Strong experience in microservices architecture and design patterns
  • Guide development team to develop, test, and deploy application components to ensure consistency and quality of solutions.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful and SOAP services.
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft technical architecture platform patterns and best practices
  • Mule 4.x experience using flows for integration with Cloud/SaaS applications such as Salesforce, ERPs, disparate home-grown systems, and service components.
  • Prior integration experience with Cloud SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.
  • Experience both designing and implementing API-led connectivity.
  • Strong knowledge of Maven for MuleSoft projects and end-to-end CI/CD
  • Solid software engineering principles and concepts
  • Experience with API management, security, OAuth, and OpenID technologies
  • Writing MUnit Test cases for all scenarios and performing testing, Deploying flows/APIs to different environments.
  • Ability to perform impact analysis, and assess technical challenges and feasibility in achieving business needs.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence
  • Highly motivated and self-starter who is quick and open to adopting new technologies.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring, error logging, and the ability to develop reports and alerts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in building effective partnerships with business owners and technical partners.
  • Experience in implementing EDI Interfaces using standards such as ANSI X12 (at least one format is a must - 850, 855, 856, 860, and 810 are preferred)
  • Preferred candidates with MuleSoft Certifications:
    • MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect
    • MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect
  • Data management experience including SQL tools like MySQL and Postgres, as well as experience with data warehouse systems.
  • Should have a good understanding on network related components (e.g., firewall, load balancer, routing, VPC peering, VPN, transit gateway)
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete tasks within timelines.
  • Attention to detail, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
