Zoox is seeking a talented Staff Infrastructure Engineer to lead the development of test infrastructure that supports manufacturing tests for our autonomous vehicles. In this role, you will drive the design and development of major infrastructure and platform components such as databases, REST APIs, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and tester orchestration. You will also lead a growing team of engineers and collaborate closely across manufacturing, hardware, and software teams.

In this role, you will:
Direct and contribute to the development of a test framework to support all factory testing at Zoox manufacturing sitesDesign and implement server infrastructure to support manufacturing test activitiesServe as the technical lead for best practices across areas such as database schema design, optimization, regression testing, and API designDrive the development of common code libraries for test engineers, including coding standards, code coverage testing, and maintainabilityDesign and build dashboards for manufacturing data, including metrics such as throughput and tester utilizationGrow and mentor a talented team to meet the challenges of scalingQualifications
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, MS preferred12+ years of industry experienceDeep background in Python programming (scripting, web services, tool development)Experience with system design, including databases, web servers, and containerization (e.g., Docker)Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, reproducible builds, deployment strategies, and supporting infrastructureExperience deploying applications to cloud environments (AWS) and on-prem/bare-metal serversExpert knowledge of Git and GitHub workflowsBonus Qualifications
