We are searching for a Staff Accountant. You will be based in Natick, MA and will report to our Controller.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze company accounting records, financial statements, annual reports, and other financial reports in order to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards and to facilitate financial planning.
  • Assist Controller with financial statement preparation and periodic reporting, monthly variance and change analysis, and actual vs. budget reporting.
  • Prepare month-end close workpapers and perform month-end close procedures.
  • Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
  • Prepare adjusting journal entries.
  • Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
  • Work with Controller to provide reports to management about asset utilization and audit results and recommend changes in operations and financial activities.
  • Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated efforts and/or identify non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies, and develop process improvement opportunities to address same.
  • Inspect account books and systems for efficacy and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.
  • Review and evaluate financial and information systems and confer with Controller on controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
  • Perform inspections of cash on hand, notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and canceled checks to confirm accuracy of records.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
  • Confer with company officials about financial and regulatory matters and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations pertaining to accounting operations.
  • Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, or expenditures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of state-of-the-art accounting practices and tools to facilitate company accounting responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related
  • 2 years of experience required.

$75,650$101,150 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
