We are currently seeking a skilled Sr. Technical Project Manager for the interiors team. You will work with a team of talented engineers in support of the interior development efforts at Lucid. You will be managing multiple scheduling activities for simultaneous projects. You will work closely with the manager and director as well as design, craftsmanship, UX, supply chain and testing/vehicle safety departments to lead the design efforts and balance the utilization of all of engineers to work together to accomplish projects within budget constraints and delivery timing.. 

As Lucid evolve into a multi-product, multi-customer organization there is a need to delegate product/component delivery responsibility to the SET. (Simultaneous Engineering team). Holding the project & technical leads accountable for successful delivery of each product/component you will be responsible for leading this activity and driving the cross functional teams to that end and deliver a complete bill-of-materials or product.

Managing a large design team with 3 subgroups and balancing the utilization of all of engineers to work together to accomplish projects within budget constraints and delivery timing.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. 

·       California (Bay Area) - $138,000 - $198,000 Additional Compensation and Benefits:

Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Role

  • Create and maintain detailed Gantt charts of multiple design projects
  • Track progress and encourage team work to hit each milestone on time
  • Interface with test department and interiors suppliers to keep the validation program on-time for start of vehicle production
  • Utilize Jira to communicate engineering tasks and progress
  • Utilize Confluence to publish critical information
  • Provide regular progress updates to management and the executive staff
  • Lead design release and engineering change requests through Lucid ECR system
  • Provide technical guidance to solve engineering challenges with mechanical systems
  • Qualifications

  • 8+ years of work experience in automotive or similar
  • Experience in program management in technical fields such as automotive
  • Experience working in automotive interiors
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira, and Confluence
  • Experience creating and using GANTT charts
  • Extensive working knowledge of interior systems
  • Basic usage of CAD for creating sections, presentations; CATIA preferred
  • Advantageous

  • Experience leading design release and change requests is a big plus
  • Experience with concept to launch, vehicle development and product launch
  • Knowledge in cross function development of interior components with systems such as safety, thermal, and BIW
  • Great organizational skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced startup environment with frequent prioritization adjustments
  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar.
