The Cloud Platform team at Lucid is currently seeking a strong Infratructure Architect. In this position the individual will be involved in architecturing to build and scale a Cloud Platform, on top of variety of Cloud Providers, to offers Cloud Connectivity, Cloud Services, and Data as a Service at Lucid Motors.

Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. We are looking for a hands-on architect, who is passionate about building scalable, performant, well designed platforms and core frameworks that enable many development groups to easily build consistent high-quality applications that run in the cloud without the need to know the underlying Cloud Infrastructure

The Role

Design and implement a Cloud based Platform as a Service that abstracts the underlying infrastructure for the application development

Design and Develop using Infrastructure as Code such that it modular, service oriented and replicable across Cloud providers and across regions with high consistency

Architect the Cloud Platform to be fault-tolerant against hardware and software failures and can elastically scalable with the load

Address the High Availability needs of microservices backed by complex big-data processing pipelines

Able to handle petabytes of data traffic over the network and provide optimal storage solutions to handle heavy writes and low latency reads.

Build secure and reliable connectivity solutions between cloud and devices using MFA and cyber security protocols

Create chaos-engineering automated tools to help break the system

Build monitoring systems that can validate and verify the solution at every step and effectively pinpoint the problem

Provide Autoscalable infrastructure for various application needs and be able to do the performance test

Qualitifications

B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering

Solid Architectural experience in building Cloud based Platform as a Service that is Cloud Infrastructure provider agnostic

5+ years of in-depth experience in setting environment to deploy services on Private or Public Cloud

2+ years of experience in using Kubernetes or other deployment orchestrator and management mechanisms

2+ years of experience in using Terraforms, Pulumi, Ansibles, and other tools to automate IaC that is testable and easy to maintain and manage for diverse environment needs.

Build CI/CD processes and pipelines to enable 1-click and self-managed deployments

Build and support services such as Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Presto, Influx/Cassandra/Dynamo, Microservices, and other technologies used in IoT space
