The successful candidate will be embedded within the Motorsport Team and work with contributors across the entire organization. Key responsibilities will include documenting, organizing, and coordinating internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and customers. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for efficient progression within a fast-paced and complex work environment.  
 
 
 

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions ,including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. 
·       California (Bay Area) - $115,000-$165,000/yr
 
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

The Role:

  • Own the service, maintenance, and repair of the FPK. Define, document, and supervise inspections (crash, interseason and diagnostic).  
  • Own and maintain the Bill of Materials of the assembly. Ensure CAD is updated and BOM is accurate across platforms. 
  • Support new development and validation activities. Define and drive test plan with cross functional team and plan against project timeline. 
  • Monitor fleet health status, document findings and be proactive to prevent issues. 
  • Responsible to delegate and ensure completion of all hardware open issues across multi discipline teams.  

  • Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ relevant engineering experience. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in motorsport and/or battery electric powertrain systems. 
  • Design release engineering experience – including engineering change and project management. 
  • Experience with data analysis and root-cause analysis with the ability to correlate different systems (ME, EE, EM and SW) 


  • Education:

  • BS degree in EE, ME, CS, Math, Physics (MS preferred)  

  • Preferred:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a high-pace highly complex cross-functional environment. 
  • Excellent organization and delegation skills with the ability to own the technical aspects of the program and deliver results on time. 
  • Ability to quickly comprehend complex problems and effectively facilitate the team to make decisions and coordinate the action plan. 
  • Solid skills in evaluation and criticism of engineering decisions and changes
