The Sr. Immigration Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing immigration-related processes within an organization. This position involves expert knowledge of immigration laws, policies, and procedures. This individual will collaborate with internal stakeholders, legal teams, and government agencies to facilitate smooth immigration processes for employees. They will also stay on top of immigration laws and contribute to the development and implementation of immigration-related policies within the organization.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education, and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
· California San Francisco Bay Area - $96,000 - $120,000 per year
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. The Role
Partner with external immigration counsel to initiate and ensure all U.S. and global immigration cases are filed accurately and timely;Maintain all posting requirements (Public Access Files, Private Access Files, PERM Notice of Filings, etc.); Manage and maintain Public Access Files and ensure compliance with all federal laws; Process general invitation letters supporting business travelers; Regularly provide instruction and information to employees and foreign nationals on immigration practices and procedures; Assist with any problems that may arise relative to a foreign national’s immigration status; Provide administrative support as needed for all immigration matters; Proactively stay informed of all immigration regulation updates (E.g. executive orders, travel restrictions, etc.) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of U.S. employment-based immigration experience either as a paralegal or in-house specialist; In depth knowledge and understanding of U.S. employment-based immigration matters, such as: *oH-1B, E-3, F-1, TN, H-1B1, O-1, J-1*PERM, I-140 and I-485*U.S. Embassy and Consulate Practices *Travel and border restrictions, executive orders, etc. Outstanding customer service/business partnering skills, including appropriate use of tact, flexibility, initiative, discretion and cultural sensitivity; Proven ability to work autonomously and coordinate and prioritize multiple activities, while maintaining a high level of customer service; Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an extreme attention to detail; Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software (E.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Heightened sense of urgency, meet assigned deadlines and communicate case progress/status/issues to hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team
