We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer, Seating Systems. This position requires a professional with a responsibility for designing and developing the seating systems of a world-class vehicle in terms of both styling and function. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Bay Area: $115,000 - $165,000
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. Be a significant contributor to a world-class seating systems engineering teamContribute to creation of industry-leading seating systems, with groundbreaking safety, comfort, craftsmanship, ergonomics, and functionalityEnsure successful packaging, integration, and release of selected advanced seat technologies into the design environment to meet all performance and reliability targetsWork interactively within a cross-functional marketing, design, and vehicle engineering team, placing priority upon the greater benefit of the vehicle above any one individual systemCollaborate with seating suppliers to ensure technical excellence and on time delivery of Lucid seating systemsAssist in developing performance specifications and tests for seat attributes, including strength, appearance, durability, and NVHEmploy and develop effective tools and an innovative approach to supporting the developmentQualifications
At least 7 years of demonstrated experience as a technical engineer leading seating development projectsProven knowledge of complete vehicle seating systems and/or structures with demonstrable track record of technical excellence an program executionProven knowledge of safety regulations, FMVSS, ECE & ADR.Understanding of automotive seating industry benchmark, trends, and supplier competenciesHands on experience developing Seating Systems DVP&Rs & DFMEAsExperience establishing/improving technical product specifications and timelines to achieve an accelerated development cycle towards SOPExperienced in using CAD to create 2D/3D concept drawings, seating components, packaging layouts, and DFM studiesAdvantageous
