We are currently seeking a Senior EHS Engineer – Chemical and Process Safety to support Lucid’s growing manufacturing facilities; this role will report to the EHS Manager of Engineering and Construction.

You Will:

  • Support day-to-day EHS operations.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS Management System for all manufacturing operations.
  • Provide chemical expertise and support to all stakeholders in manufacturing, logistics, and engineering for the company.
  • Develop, deploy, and lead the Lucid Process Safety Management (PSM) program.
  • Ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Lead incident analysis activities to determine causation and appropriate corrective actions.
  • Oversee the Management of Change process and ensure its full company integration.
  • Partner with all stakeholders to facilitate an effective PSM program.
  • Serve as primary/lead program auditor for chemical management and PSM.
  • Manage high visibility projects and liaison between Lucid, third-party organizations and regulators to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Ensure NFPA codes and standards are adhered to and act as NFPA subject matter expert in design-build decisions.
  • Ensure the effective management of hazardous materials and chemical management as the technical SME and related compliance objectives
  • Provide support for EHS programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Air and Waste management, etc.
  • Develop and conduct education and training as required across operations.
  • You Bring:

  • 8+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or related technical engineering discipline; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in related industries (automotive, machine integration, manufacturing, semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.).
  • 5+ years developing and deploying a PSM program.
  • 3+ years working with hazardous chemicals.
  • Availability to travel 20% internationally, as needed.
  • Experience working with varying Local, State, and Federal authorities.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and drive results in a rapid growth environment.
  • Flexible work schedule is required (may include some evenings and weekends, as needed).
