The Role:
Solve complex component/system level problems using standard problem-solving techniquesResponsible for design intent assembly requirements of Chassis System & Enforcement on the assembly lineData driven proactive problem solving & issue avoidance due to process deviations or critical part quality issues.Troubleshoot all plant based chassis issues with the manufacturing and design team. Ensure the product designs are assembled with the highest possible qualityProvide design for manufacturability & serviceability feedback in future product development processes.Advise on build process development and possible improvements.Drive build quality issues to closure, by working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics.Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical or Automotive disciplines with 5+ years of automotive experience in design and release of vehicle attributesMS in Mechanical or Automotive disciplines with 3+ years of automotive experience in design and release of vehicle attributesKnowledge of joining technologies, bolted joints and torque requirements.Knowledge of suspension systems design and kinematicsKnowledge of castings and stampings Previously participated in prototype builds or launch events.Experience with automotive-grade adhesivesExceptional communication and documentation skills are required using Atlassian products.Requires proficiency in CAD, PLM , and Stack up analysis (2D & 3D) software.Travel is required between the factory in Casa Grande, AZ and Engineering HQ in Newark, CA on as needed basis.Preferred:
EIT or PE license in Mechanical design Experience in machining
