Who You Are
As a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst on the Finance team, you will work with the team to manage and optimize the accounts payable processes. This role will be based in our Alameda, CA Headquarters and reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is adaptable to changes as the business grows, will exhibit exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving in an extremely fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices by 2-way or 3-way match to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payment in accordance with company policy.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable in a timely manner.
- Respond to vendor queries and maintain vendor accounts by updating documentation such as payment information and W-9s. Complete credit applications for new and existing vendors.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements for exceptions and discrepancies.
- Monitor, reconcile, and ensure accuracy of AP Aging report.
- Generate month-end accruals for invoices received and expected recurring invoices not received after cut-off.
- Administer corporate credit cards and complete monthly review to ensure required expense reporting is completed by all personnel.
- Prepare and issue yearly 1099 tax returns to applicable vendors.
- Support yearly PBC audits.
- Assist with GL account reconciliations related to accounts payable during close.
- Perform complex tasks, special projects, and identify continuous improvement opportunities in the Finance department.
- Mentor less experienced team members in processing financial transactions.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- 5+ years experience with Accounts Payable or general accounting, with demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- High degree of attention to detail and desire to deeply understand all aspects of a process or system.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage time, organize and prioritize tasks effectively, and be able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficient knowledge of Macintosh computers, Google Sheets, and Excel.
- Demonstrated solid understanding of the P2P cycle.
- Experience with Sage X3 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Coupa, and Ramp strongly preferred.
- Use tax accruals & vendor prepayment experience strongly preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time

The starting base pay for this role is between $86,000 and $108,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
