ROLE SUMMARY: 

The Commercial Facilities Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Facilities Operations Manager ensuring our commercial locations operate as effectively as possible while providing an exceptional experience to our customers. This role will assist in new site openings and continued operation of locations within the region; this involves overseeing day-to-day operational tasks and maintenance activities for their respective commercial sites while staying in close communication with local site teams and ensuring Rivian’s standards are met throughout the process. Additionally, this role will support the rollout of large-scale programs and ad hoc projects while working collaboratively across multiple departments to achieve operational success.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Implementation of the facilities management programs and procedures needed to keep the Rivian facility operating at its best while exceeding Rivian expectations and adhering to brand standards 
  • Ensure all service and repair work orders are responded to, assess as required and take the necessary corrective action; all within a timely manner and while exceeding Rivian expectations
  • Update and maintain accurate records and official documentation for your respective region. Track and report key performance indicators to be included in Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Track, manage and analyze purchase requisitions and operating expenses; identify and report any inconsistent data to determine impact and/or accuracy of expenses
  • Conduct vendor site walks as needed and attend potential new site tours 
  • Align with end user teams to ingest new projects for the greater Facilities organization
  • Manage New Site Openings (NSO’s) within your territory in partnership with our Real Estate, Design, and Construction teams.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders throughout the process of NSO commissioning and maintain timelines alongside the Commercial Facilities Operations Manager 
  • Lead NSO launch calls to align all teams prior to site opening 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of facilities and/or project management 
  • Experience supporting retail and/or service center maintenance and operational programs 
  • Experience in customer service with a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of CMMS software and project management tools
  • Proven project management skills. Knowledge of project management vocabulary and terminology
  • Proficient with MS Office tools
  • Proven ability to manage third party vendor relationships
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to shift focus very quickly and adjust to rapidly changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% as needed to launch new site openings (travel will taper off as openings subside)
