What You Will Be Doing

ChargePoint is seeking a Solutions Portfolio Manager to help develop ChargePoint’s Open Network OnRamp program. This crucial role entails integrating third party EVSE partners hardware with ChargePoint’s OCPP cloud. The Portfolio Manager will work directly with Product Management and Engineering to drive the direction of our products in order to support this key initiative. The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for building relationships with OnRamp partners, provide technical direction and expertise for OnRamp integrations, provide product documentation, and training material, and solve challenging technical problems. ChargePoint has a wide variety of partners and customers in this fast-paced industry. The Portfolio Manager will also work with auto manufacturers, utilities, fleets, and standards bodies.

In that role, you will be responsible for integrating third party EV charging stations on ChargePoint’s OCPP network, including:

• Managing and execute OCPP integrations with third party EVSE partners and cross functional teams (engineering, operations, marketing, sales, and support)
• Participating in and/or host meetings related to OnRamp integrations with internal teams and external partners, vendors, and customers
• Providing detailed tracking and reporting of OCPP integration program status throughout the entire OnRamp program lifecycle
• Support the OCPP OnRamp Product Manager to develop new features and improve OCPP server infrastructure
• Define and manage the commissioning and provisioning processes for OnRamp partners
• Define OnRamp partner product documentation and processes for ChargePoint Technical Support to manage supportability
• Provide Level 3 technical support for OnRamp production stations when escalated from Level 2 Customer Support
• Travel to high profile customer locations to assist with station deployments, critical station faults requiring high level diagnostic expertise, and other customer relation management that might be required
• Assist with setup and creation of OnRamp product demonstrations
• Manage OnRamp lab and station setup (connect AC feed, physically install stations, configure and provision stations)
• Validate and analyse OnRamp partner hardware for functionality, reliability, quality to ensure it meets ChargePoint’s stringent standards
• Identify, report, and mitigate OnRamp program risks and blockers
• Perform onsite, online, or in-house training on various OnRamp related subjects

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelors’ degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
• 2-4 years’ prior work experience in an application engineering or equivalent role
• Detailed knowledge of OCPP specification, standards, functionality, and industry
• A track record of success in successfully delivering complex projects in cross-functional environments
• Experience in and ability to work with AC electrical systems, wiring, breakers, electrical panels, transformers, etc in commercial applications
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Good customer, vendor, partner management, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Familiarity with EV industry is a plus
