Bear Flag Robotics is a part of the Automation and Autonomy group at John Deere. Acquired in August 2021, Bear Flag Robotics has a growing portfolio of projects in the autonomy space and is looking for a Perception Lead to join our team.

This will be a hybrid role and will require you to be in our Santa Clara office at least one day per week.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, validation, and deployment of perception systems for autonomous tractors.

Define the software and hardware architecture of the perception system, and work with partner teams on critical interfaces. Collaborate with teams across John Deere to integrate new and existing solutions.

Manage a growing Perception team and own the long-term Perception roadmap and strategy.

Work with engineering and product stakeholders to identify and meet safety and performance requirements.

Coordinate with engineering operations on data collection, testing, and field validation.
