Remora is hiring a Software Engineer who will help the Controls/Software/Electronics team to create software solutions for the Remora device all while helping to tackle the defining challenge of our time.

Responsibilities:
Work on data collection units deployed in Truck fleets as well as used for in-house testing Handle data storage and data analysis pipeline for ease of access for the broader engineering teamScript and automate high resolution dataIntegrate multiple data sources and databases into one systemBuild out automatic data reporting system to share with customers or internal team membersGenerate effective and scalable software code; Modify existing code to adapt to changing requirements and to address software bugs/issuesMap software modules to hardware components (ECU, sensors and other electronic components)Generate dbc/sym file for truck and bench applications; modify as and when neededWork with the controls, electronics and other cross functional teams to resolve software bugs and issuesQualifications:
4 plus years of experience as a software engineer, automotive industry a plusKnowledge of SQL or database programming; Experience in Linux EnvironmentKnowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid); Proficient in PythonExperience with web, database, and automation technologiesExperience with containerization and/or cloud-hosted services (experience with Docker tool)Experience with version control and build systemsA strong understanding of software testing methodologies, standard coding and programming practicesHere’s what we value:
