The Shipping and Assembly Technician is responsible for the preparation, assembly and continuous improvements of products and parts manufactured at the company.

Responsibilities

Ensure that the work cell and work order have all the necessary parts and supplies prior to beginning the work

Inspect inventory upon receiving, accuracy of incoming inventory, material storage, production parts and ensuring the area is clean/organized and error free

Follow work instructions and assemble the parts / assemblies in the required time allocated while meeting the quality standards with zero defects

Photograph projects to provide quality history, palletize and band product, ensure proper packaging so product will arrive to customer in the same quality it left facility

Obtain the shipping invoice and packing slips, package all items being shipped per the procedures and packing requirements

Collaborate with welders, paint, electrical and other assembly/shipping/receiving technicians

Ensure Quality Check Sheets are completed to company standard prior to final packaging procedures

Update Team Status Board to reflect work order status and note all quality, safety and improvements encountered

Work as a team to coordinate workflow to accomplish daily goals and objectives

Ensure that daily production status, concerns and issues are communicated directly to the appropriate person and role

Load and unload delivery trucks, use pallet jack or forklift to move material throughout the shop

Requirements

Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs

Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily

Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back

Must be detail oriented

Must be a team player willing to take on additional roles as neededHave a good attitude and willingness to learn

Willing to take a background and drug test

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong attention to detail

Ability to understand engineering drawings and shop standards

This person performs as a team player, always shows a positive attitude towards clients and coworkers, and strives for constant improvement in process and delivery

Forklift Experience required

Proficiency in the use of basic hand tools, including drills, impact, torque wrench, angle grinders, saws and nail guns

Electro Mechanical experience is a plusISO 9001:2015 experience is a plus

Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Infor Visual or Acumatica experience a plus.
