About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our growing Service Operations team. As one of the first technicians dedicated to servicing our all-electric travel trailer, the AE.1, you'll diagnose and repair electric powertrains, HV and LV power distribution systems, and traditional RV components. You'll also help develop service procedures and technical documentation for our growing team. This role will require up to 25-50% travel to service vehicles in the field or at customer sites.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on electric powertrains, battery systems, and related high and low voltage electrical components on Lightship RVs both in the workshop and out in the field at customer locations.Manage on-location service parts inventoryTravel when required to support customer vehiclesTroubleshoot and resolve issues with RV living systems including HVAC, plumbing, appliances, and interior/exterior componentsDocument all service work thoroughly, maintain detailed repair records, and provide clear communication to customers about vehicle status and needed repairsCollaborate with engineering and product teams to identify recurring issues, suggest design improvements, and contribute to the development of service procedures and technical documentationMinimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience as an automotive, RV, or heavy equipment technician with hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsWorking knowledge of electrical systems, including ability to read wiring diagrams, use multimeters, and diagnose electrical faults safelyValid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to safely operate large vehicles - towing experience a plus!Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality work with minimal supervisionDemonstrated experience providing an exceptional level of communication and care to customersMust provide basic hand and power tools to perform standard automotive repairsSpecialty/diagnostic tools and personal protective equipment will be provided by LightshipPreferred Qualifications
