Zoox is transforming mobility-as-a-service by developing a fully autonomous, purpose-built fleet designed for AI to drive and humans to enjoy.
Leadership in the selection, development and deployment of wireless technology supporting advanced 4G-LTE, 5G-NR, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth air interfaces is critical to Zoox’s technical roadmap and business success. As lead Wireless Network Systems Engineer, you will make a critical contribution to the technical evolution at Zoox of advanced wireless technology targeting these air interfaces. You will collaborate with Zoox development hardware and software engineers to define the wireless technology roadmap, ensure feature selection to optimally leverage leading public and private network technical capabilities, assess and approve telematics control unit (TCU) architectural feature sets including device chipset selection, liaise with Mobile Network Operator (MNO) technical staff to enable leading edge adoption of new network features at the earliest opportunity, and review and interpret field performance data to validate design target performance. Complementary to Zoox’s existing deep core competency in AI and machine learning systems for autonomous vehicle operation, you will actively explore the intersection of wireless 6G with on-board vehicular AI. We seek an expert, enthusiastic, innovative, and self-starting individual to join our team in this challenging and pivotal role.
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $186,000 to $305,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level.
