Zoox is transforming mobility-as-a-service by developing a fully autonomous, purpose-built fleet designed for AI to drive and humans to enjoy.
The Software Hardware in the Loop (HIL) team at Zoox is responsible for designing, building, and supporting integration test assets that are an essential part of the verification and validation strategy for the AI systems and are a critical component of Zoox's CI pipeline. This position focuses on the testing framework that provides test developers across Zoox's software organization with the ability to create testing content targeted for our team's hardware test platforms. As a senior developer, you will take on a breadth of end-to-end responsibilities related to the development and support of this framework.
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $175,000 to $237,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

In this role, you will:
Design and implement our test automation framework used for integration and subsystem integration testing by teams across Zoox.Collaborate with framework users, providing documentation, training, and support while coordinating contributions and gathering feedback.Work with QA, CI, and Infrastructure teams to ensure that the framework is well integrated into Zoox tools and flows and seek ways to improve its benefit.Collaborate on other projects related to building and maintaining our integration test platforms to build your overall understanding of the system and explore opportunities to improve our validation process.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, with 7+ years of relevant experienceProficiency with Python or other managed languageExperience working in a multi-developer environment on large code bases, performing code reviews, and establishing coding standardsUnderstanding of the software life cycle and common software design principlesExperience as a test framework developer, including general test framework design and CI/CD integration
Bonus Qualifications
Solid understanding of Pytest or similar unit testing framework architectureProficiency in full-stack or front-end developmentFamiliarity with verification & validation strategy, hardware/software integration experience, or strong system-level debugging ability
