We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to play a vital role in developing our Energy Management platform. In this influential position, you will help shape, build, and sustain a robust suite of micro-services. Your work will significantly affect our long-term technical

strategy. This role demands practical experience in every stage of microservice development, including architecture design, coding, deployment, and monitoring.

What You Will Be Doing

• As a member, you will participate in major initiatives and opportunities, demonstrating your well-rounded skills in communication, technology, and execution to bring a project from inception to general availability for customers.
• You will play a key role in designing industry-leading standards and solutions to develop new solutions and scale ChargePoint to support real-time communication with millions of charging stations.
• As part of the Energy Management team, you will represent Cloud services by executing initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Product, Embedded Platform, Quality, Support, and Operations.
• Your goal is not only to resolve their concerns but also to work with them to define and build better solutions. You will work on code directly impacting the business, including developing and maintaining real-time Energy Management solutions that optimise EV charging efficiency.
• Additionally, you are expected to improve the team by contributing to code reviews, documentation, and the development process. You will also champion organisational principles by helping to define and uphold them.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building back-end software
• Hands-on with JVM Language is a must, such as Java/Kotlin
• Working experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, and Kubernetes,
• Working experience with modern software architecture components (e.g. Distributed Systems, Containerization, Micro Services, Observability, etc.)
• Working experience in one of the cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
• Good in CS fundamentals - data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
