Senior Software Developer - Intralogistics (m/f/x)

About the job

​We are seeking a high-energy, results-oriented and experienced Software Developer (m/w/x) with a weakness for automation and intralogistics to join our Software & Automation team in Hamburg, Germany. Our network of automated indoor vertical farms is a distributed system which is monitored and controlled in state-of-the-art ways. Our interface to various intralogistics and farm equipment is key to efficient operation of our farms.

What you'll do

• Design and implement state of the art concepts for our farm execution platform  
• Develop software using agile principles and techniques such as pair programming, test-driven development and code reviews  
• Work in an interdisciplinary team of biologists, agronomists, mechatronic engineers and software developers  
• Drive innovation and bring in your own ideas to boost our projects  
• Communicate and document effectively, especially when communicating with non-technical key stakeholders  
• Depending on your personal choice the option to take over the lead of a software team in a growing company

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in implementing interfaces to PLC based mechatronic systems, ideally for intralogistics or automation systems  
• Preferably knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems
• Experience in object-oriented programming, ideally with Typescript, NodeJS and related tools & frameworks  
• Willingness to drive innovation and find creative solutions  
• Self-starter with superior organisational and prioritisation skills
